Sioux Steel Manual Head Gate

Manual head gate features a wide opening with 24" of space! Hydraulically assisted manual head gate accommodates varying sizes of animals being processed at the same time.

Left or right handed operation. Controls can be mounted on either side of the head gate, accommodating to your cattle working environment.

Left or right handed operations are determined by facing forward the same way cattle would be facing in the head gate.

When cattle are in a head gate they tend to put pressure forward or backward on the gate. Simply move the lever on the manual head gate and open the check valve and it will open.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Where can we get the cylinder for parts for the cylinder on the manual head gate?

Thank you for reaching out! The cylinder part number is S201299. These cylinders can be purchased through your local Sioux Steel dealership. Your local dealership can be found by visiting www.siouxsteel.com. If you need any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-557-4689. Thank you!

  • We worked cattle last Saturday and we were having some trouble with the cows backing out of the head catch after they were caught. Is there a way to adjust the pressure where it wont release them?

That is a great question! Adjusting pressure is only done by advancing the manual lever down to make it tighter around the neck area. Sometimes cattle at first advance forward in the head gate too far so the pressure adjustment is done on the thicker part of their neck area closer to their bodies. Try to have the cattle shift back while in the headgate so further tighter pressure adjustments can occur near the thinner part of their neck near the ears and head. If you have any further questions, we are happy to assist! Please contact us at 1-800-557-4689 or email us at info@siouxsteel.com
